The quality of the content in the Help Me section is deterioriating day by day.
Every day i log in just to see there are so many queries for K&N free flow air filters, jetting of carburettors, NGK Iriduim spark plugs and even the Maxspeed/Spitfire cables and boosting performance of their bikes using these mods.Some go far and expect bumps in the BHP figures from these mods.
Points to remember:
1.A free flow air filter is not going to give you any noticeable bumps in performance.
2.Without upjetting you are going to make a big mess out of your engine because of the lean mixture.
3.Upjetting is a must and you cannot avoid that to keep Fuel Efficiency.Heck if you care so much about the FE, don't go for any performance mods.Each mod will surely reduce FE.
4.NGK Iridium spark plugs do not increase acceleration.They just make sure that the fuel is burnt at the right time with the right spark.
newbies please do not expect that you will see a massive increase in acceleration and/or FE.
NGK plugs improve the throttle response and also helps overcome the problems of cold starts but not bumping up the acceleration.
5.Spitfire cables are all show and no go.They don't cause any difference in the quality of spark produced.The stock wiring for the spark plug is decent enough to handle the amount of current required to produce a good spark.
Planning to install these in your bike and expecting puny lil kristals to touch 100+ speeds is totally insane.No pulsar is going to smoke a r15 just because of these mods.

Performance modding is a very complicated thing. We have our expert tuners[look at the grin on Joel's face
] over here who have spent almost half their lives understanding and modding
engines to get max output.It is not that simple guys. Bolting on some shitty hardware is not going to make your bike any faster.
I understand that the people who ask questions are new to bikes and all.
I request all the people who have questions regarding all such mods to search the forum. Enough discussions have been posted on these mods and experts have given their opinions.
