    What's the problem if one manufacturer gives more warranties ? Doesn't that shows their confidence in their products ? Another reason is from the sales point of view.

    In the case of Sony, most of us know that Sony makes one of the best reliable(and long lasting) TVs combined with the best picture quality. But does that mean that all the offerings/models(in the case of TVs) are having un-matched quality ?
