  • What is Exhaustec?

    Hi all,

First with Discover and now with new Pulsar Bajaj has come up with a Patent Pending tech Torque Expansion Chamber (Or Exhaustec)

    My question is:
What extactly is this "Torque Expansion Chamber"?
How does it improves low end toque?
And what is negative side of this "Torque Expansion Chamber"?

    Regards

Source:http://www.bsmotoring.com/2004/aug28_3.htmThe result is the ability to open throttle and find useable power, in any gear and at any engine speed.

The bike also uses a new technology Bajaj is in process of patenting called ExhausTEC which would give the bike a torque of 1 kgm through a long range of RPM allowing the users to get the big burst of sudden powers to overtake easily on cluttered roads.

it's all bull****.... RX100 produces 1.25 kg of torque compared to 1.55 kg of pulsar.... RX has no such stuff like exhaustec and all... maybe it's diff for 2 strokes.

Why the hell do you want to know how it works?

even i think if your bike is having good CC and engine you dont need all this BullS**t as till date i havent seen any other imported bikes having Dual spark plug in a single cylender, or eaxusttec.Wait for few months Honda is coming with its 250 cc and HH is coming with 385 cc bike and that time you dont need to put DTSI or eaxustec for showing the dirt to other bikers
buddy a lot of imported bikes use daul spark plug, if u havent seen one it doesnt mean it doesnt exits. bmw, ducati have been using them for yers now in some models. and as a matter of fact even the bmw launched in india,( remember the f650 funduro, single cylinder ) had two spark plugs too............

well according to me the exhaustec is nothin but a normal silencer with a resonance chamber..which echos the silencer sound giving a bit beefy sound...i dont think it will be affectin the "throttel abiliy" much

@Maheul ya its true coz its having a big 650 cc cylender and to burn that much of fule and air mixture u have to have 2 plugs, Other italians also had twin plug concept but they stopped why god knows. So having twin plugs for tini 150 or 180 is not a advanced tech.Do you think that engineer at Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha and Kawasaki are fool that they are not putting dual plugs?
