  • TVS New Scooter and Twin Spark Flame.. Caught on Endurance Testing.

A week back, while coming to Bangalore, Near Krishnagiri, spotted some TVS bikes and scooter (6 in No.s). Spoke to them and I was told that's it's Twin Spark Flame and another was a new scooter. I tried taking some pictures and videos.. and I did until I was asked to stop and handover my MMC Card!!

A argument followed soon, and had delete what I had shot, out of humility.. but that's another story. But finally I was left with one poor video.

But what I made of it was:

    (1) The scooter looked very familiar to Honda Aviator, looked big and was gearless. Similar looking Alloy wheels with provision for Disc Brakes! It also had telescopic suspension.

    (2) I followed the bikes for about 10Kms.. and they were easily maintaining 95Kmph, without a cough.

If it is happening, testing out in the open, they have no right to ask you for your card. You are not intruding on anybody's private property. You could have easily refused to delete and walked away.
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

      ^ Indeed.

Twin spark flame, hopefully that doesnt cause an issue with bajaj's DTS-i

The Twin Spark case is now resolved in favour of TVS. They have the rights to produce the production version since its an AVL patented tech.

@rahul - you should have just walked away man. They have no rights to stop you and ask for your card. Who asked them to test the bikes on public roads then. You didnt get into their premises, you can shoot what you want in public.

TVS guys has achieved a wrong impression with such kind of attitude by taking away pics... Instead, those pics would have increased twin-spark Flame's popularity among us.

Maybe U have taken pics of their babes thats is how they have made such a rude behaviour with U....

Actually I was riding with my girl, and she was the one taking the shots. Although I was with a group of 4 couples.. i just didn't wanted argue over it. (They infact noted down our registration numbers, and my friends were quiet clueless, until I made them understand, it's nothing they are going to do with that information any way).

The problem was elevated due to lack of communication (I don't have a clue about Tamil). In fact I could have just twisted the throttle, I stopped just because few minutes before I had spoken to him (the lead guy), and he was courteous enough to let me check out the bikes. He infact asked me "New 220?" and then said "Very good bike"

The best part was when I was shooting th video and 6 of these guys were confused what to do, and then they sped up and told it to their leader (7th guy).. and it took them sometime to react!

Did you try to recover the deleted data?
use a good recovery software (undelete utility, eg restoration or system mechanic search and recover,) you may still be able to dig up those other pics.
May not work if the data has been overwrittten. still worth a try.

Also i dont think the design will be changed for Flame. It will just be an engine job. Also a new 100cc bike was planned by TVS.Wonder what is the status of it!!
