Riders Less Likely to Risk Drinking and Riding

Its good to read these statistics. Riders cannot rely on a designated driver to abstain and bring them back home safely. Although this doesn't mean riders have gone soft, and don't party hard enough. Most riders (including yours truly) usually plan ahead and crash overnight at whichever friend's place is closest to the party spot. The ride back home the morning after is usually bleary eyed, but done safely after downing enough water to rehydrate the system

Drink & Ride.
Couple of days back I was returning home from Indiranagar at around 11.00 PM. Near the GPO police were stopping all vehicles and checking the car drivers and bike riders using the Breathalyser. There was a bike infront of me with a pillion rider. Suddenly the pillion rider jumps down, the "Rider" slips back smoothly, and the Pillion rider jumps on the front and take control of the bike. In a flash the Helmet also changed heads. The new "Rider" passed the Breathalyser test away they went.Originally posted by moeed View PostIt good to see that most riders avoid drinking and riding.
Since it was evident that the "Rider" was drunk. He should have allowed the pillion rider to take control of the vehicle in the first place. Knowing the risk he is taking, it was irresponsible behaviour.sigpic
