I too had thought about painting my Black P150 in ivory white (from Tata Safari). Yours is looking good. Waiting for the final pics!

If you change the color, will it not be a hurdle while selling it later on ? or if it gets stolen ? or while claiming insurance ?

          Thank you guys

          @madrussian

I first inquired about these things before starting on the project.

Well you do have to make changes in the RC book if it mentions the colour of the bike. My RC book doesnt mention anything at all. The RTO guy said its not a problem, they don't care as long the bike's chassis or engine number is intact.

Insurance company will update their database with new pics. THIS IS necessary otherwise later on claim would be void for the parts.

Sooo today the bike was assembled, still some work remains, however I am reaaaalllly loving it

PLEASE SEE THE FIRST POST updated with today's pics.

          General opinion needed
Should I put the sticker of CBZ-xtreme on the tank or not ? Half of me says no.

            Good then

I wanted to get my bike painted in pearl white but could not due to these hurdles.

Nice project, love the paint quality, waiting to see the final pics.

how much did this part cost you ??

the black sticker/paint on the tank looks damn good .. gives the bike a whole new look . but on the side panels may be you could have done something different with the stripes (may be thin stripes which would go with the one on the tank{just my opinion}).

Very good makeover on the whole . Check out the new sticker of cbz extreme but it may not go very well with the paint job. Or try the old sticker.. waiting for the final output.

The silencer shield doesnt have a high quality paint as its pointless because it will be eventually worn out. Should be around 100 bucks at most.

THe shield is the old one itself, new shield should cost around 250/- However this is my 3rd shield in 3 years. Its way too delicate and takes a severe beating in case of a fall. Paint also is highly susceptible to scrathes

I just did the design as simple as possible, not only its cheaper since its not a sticker, its been painted.

Gifted yourself a new year present eh? The bike is looking good. I especially loved the tail piece. And hats to you for being able to do all of this on a student budget.

I am asking about that silencer shield as i have to get mine re painted .. lots of scratches and it might start rusting soon if i don't get it painted. . can u tell me the company color and code of the paint that you used ?
or will i get a matte finish silver paint easily ?

Just say the shade you want.. if you can point to a reference colour it'd be good. Just say that you want a thicker coat of paint, since the stock one has a very thin layer... (dunno about the new xtreme's though)

Today's updates:- Bike's kind of running and ready but the front brake lever has sprung a leak =\ trying to fix it =\ *sigh*

Good that all the minor problems are showing up now itself, would be worse if they come up during a ride....

Seems like you've graduated and been put out of your misery

The bike has rolled out of the garage heading tomorrow to bangalore.

Sorry that I couldnt take pics due to the memory card being full + battery discharged + power outage here.

Still a minor work to be done tomorrow, the headlamp clamp is a bit wobbly and yet have to pin point the source.

                                Pics coming tomorrow
