means the last 1 litre of petrol in the tank can't be used ..as it doesn't lie over the petrol outflow pipe..
instead of polishing heads etc.. why don't u replace the engine with that of rd350..or change the carbureter..etc.so u'l have significant power increase..

rd 350 carbs etc are now a days not easy to find and also by polishing the heads etc u don't make major changes to u r engine too.. i followed rajnish's idea and got my inlet valve etc polished and 4 days back and my bike rocks.

                  Hello Mr. Rajnish,
what I said was in respect to this post, and about the other post I thanked you with all my heart.Sorry I couldn't find data requested by you as most Bajaj mechs don't have tech manuals. They are SSC qualified from ITI and these technical things don't interest them.

krome i got it done from my local mech and it cost me around 450 odd but my mech said it is not necessary on a 4st also it is not recommended to open the head now and then as the compression etc could get affected.

nothing gets effected by just opening the head.u just need a new head gasket.any ways head has to be opened to do a de co.

yup buddy u just need 3m 400 no.emery paper.heads of most bikes r alumunium so no worries.remember not to scrape metal which can happen if u use a scrapper.so just buff the valves head inlet and outlets for the valves and mirror finish exhaust valve side only.intake should be rough to increase gas turbulence.u need to lightly sand the surfaces only and a shine will come.the heads have casting flaws in them, concentrate on removing them.
