Can't remember the topic but someone said that gf170 is a flop as he can't see any of them on the roads or in the showroom..well the reason for that is, the bike is not yet launched. Kinetic will be launching its 5 bikes, including gf170 on 1st oct. Check the news at
KINETIC Engineering Ltd (KEL), which made its presence felt in the motorcycle category with Aquila's launch one-and-a-half years ago, is all set to hit the domestic market with five more models. These are the GF 170, Big Boss 115, Velocity, Laser and King 100, which would be simultaneously launched on October 1.
Talking to mediapersons, Ms Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Joint Managing Director, KEL, said the introductory prices would be Rs 38,300 for Velocity, Rs 44,000 for GF 170, Rs 47,000 for Laser, Rs 33,500 for Boss 115 and Rs 19,999 for King.

If that's the case, then Bajaj Should Hurry up with the DTS-i.
There is a lot of flutter about the DTS-i in the market, and real delay will cause people to try the GF 170!2003 Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-i (first gen, spoked 18" wheels)

not just gf170 but may able the laser with semi fairing and dual headlights at just 47k [:0]
If gf170 proved to be a [u]reliable bike and kinetic improves its service...at 44k it will be tough to beat [}

Yeah... the Laser does look decent. And its fairing does gel with the rest of the bike. With the mean dual headlamps.
But 47k (not 44k) may be the ex showroom price for the machine. Add another 5-8 K to get it on road! And it is priced at around the P-150. Still very good VFM. But it should sell if it manages to keep those Vibes low.
Atleast all the fairing freaks will go for it.
But it seems Nav, Heavy Breathers (4 Valvers) like the GF and Laser provide optimum riding power and rideability very close to the red-line. That's good for a racy engine. But then what happens to the ELF
[
] and fuel efficiency and the vibes.
If you read the review of the GF 170 in OD (sorry for quoting OD again) they say they loved keepin the bike in the 9-10K RPM as it feels so good...
But after an hour of riding.. when they got off they had a tingling feeling in their feet and palms because of the Vibes. But when they were on the GF, they enjoyed it so much that that hardly realised the Vibes.2003 Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTS-i (first gen, spoked 18" wheels)

Gliff gf170 I quoted as 44k and laser as 47k.
Regarding vibs, ya I have read that too ... but as per Dilip Bam who also rode that bike .. he says that bike has vibs around 4,000 after which nothing.
Also I hope between then and now kinetic might have sorted out the problem. They better if they want to survive.2000 Suzuki Fiero | 2004 Bullet Electra | 2004 RX135 | 2005 CBZ | 2009 Karizma | 2009 Punto 1.4 Petrol | 2011 Yamaha YZF-R15
