I have been doing a few trackdays recently at philip island . The track is fantastic and is what you would expect from world class circuit. width of a four lane highway , excellent ripple strips which I found to give as much grip in the dry as the circuit itself, It has a few bumps here and there with makes it even more interesting and a whole heap of brilliant corners and segments.
It is a very very fast track with only 2 corners under 100k's.
One of them , Turn 4 or Honda is a hard braking corner right after you are doing well over 200 k's. its a lot of fun when the back end is wiggling around when you are hard on the brakes. Ive been riding my 2004 zx10 there which has more than enough horsepower to hammer down the front straight
. The turn leading upto the straight is really fast as well with long sweeping left hander
the only downside though is that I am going through a rear tyre every 3 trackdays days and a front about 6 trackdays which makes it a very expensive prospect
