Ya I would agree, commuting or taking a short ride does reduces stress and refreshes the mind. I do this after every hard day job or after every hectic exam schedule.

I don't know how far does a ride reduces stress in the metros with heavy traffic, but it does definitely works in the hill station where fresh air and greenery is always in the eye.

Once this is done then one can buy a bike accordingly and then enjoy it to the fullest.

Knowing the bike - Torque, BHP, Balance, braking, pick-up, weight, reliability, handling, blind spots / pitfalls, over speeding hazards, limits. You know your horse, it sails you across and if you do not know your horse, it can dump you anywhere and sometimes at real bad places.

Biking is not about looking at others what they do, it is not about competing all the times, it is not about just impression making, It harmonizes your chakras of life if done in an appropriate manner. You got to synchronize yourself with the bike and make your body a part of it and see how you enjoy riding. Biking can surely balance your WLB (Work life balance) if done properly.
