    Re: Catch the Future

very nice article, situational awareness and anticipating possible danger is the key.

no amount of preparations can gaurentee 100% safety.

two additional things that i learned are loss of concentration and distraction, AND the ability to remind yourself that you are facing a situation of (1) loss in concentration and (2) something is distracting you.

that hurt report you mentioned tells a lot of things about motorcycle accidents, and we tried to discuss it at xbhp also->

      Nice article.
Reminds me of what I was told when I rode my first bike 'While riding, It is more important to see and understand what people are doing around you'.

      Ride Safe.

      Cheers!
There is no better therapy than riding a bike down a straight road at full throttle with the sound of the engine for company.

        Re: Catch the Future

Nicely written! Anticipation and concentration seems to be the key part, brain\'s natural instinct too seems to play an important role here, during panic situations I seem to do the right things even though I don\'t have much time to make decisions(like whether to brake or doge and avoid). Some of the riders don\'t react at all in panic situation, making it worst, but this seems to be a natural thing, but can be changed if enough effort in made. And finally, there are people who don\'t notice the situation until its too late! One good thing I have learnt is to CONCENTRATE completely on my ride, I don\'t think of anything else, added advantage is that I am less stressed and I enjoy the ride more. Common thing which people do is to thing of something that is not related to current situation like problems in their life and other stressful thing and get carried away.
