Black Bike.
This man, exactly three years ago had fainted at a US airport for no apparent reason and had cracked his skull at 2 places and had been told by doctors that he would not ride again and thus he had lost his driver's licence on medical grounds. That man regained his passion for riding and has driven around the world since... a tour that did not begin as a round the world trip he finished nearly two years two-up on a motorcycle with some interesting stats!
Distance covered: 90,000 kms by road.
Time Away: 22 Months: 660 days
Around 550 different hotels from 1 to 5 star rated.
Expenses: US$150,000, (ie; INR 67 Lacs).
He says, FYI, it is cheaper than staying at home in Ontario.
Firsts: No GL1800 has ever done this kind of a tour.
95% people say that it is the wrong bike and the GS would be better. Sure, the GL has a ground clearance issue. But it is quite good.

Hats off to you Peter and Thao!
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

I was happily reading the blog till I got to India (was thinking of saving up for the best)... then, a big big disappointment...
I have a feeling Peter didn't have that much of a good time in India as he is trying to project in his blog (Ken Da, I am sure would know better since he got to interact with Peter and Thao). I am really ashamed at the attitude of our people who give their 100% percent effort in taking advantage of others, all for a few quick bucks.
The entire logs concerning India was one depressing reminder of how we have failed to get our basics right.
Shame on Kaulson Racing for cheating them. I hope they get their act straight.
I know I sound like just-another-guy who is a big fat whiner. Thats all I can do given the failed system we have in place which has its foundations on deceit and corruption. The best I can do right now with my zero resources is to spread the story of Kaulson Racing's mega-asshattery and give them a big virtual middle finger for being such douchebags. Dear KRP, you suck bigtime.
Kudos to Peter and Thao for literally fighting it out in India.Baby Tourer
