  • P220 Fi problem with rear disk and dropping speed!

    Guys..
I am from Pune and have a P220 Fi....1 year old...
It has huge problem with its rear disk.....screetches a lot when rear brake is applied!!! E1 the pick has gone down......hardly goes beyond 100km/h...
Probiking guys r of no help....
How do i fix the issue???

A lot of people have this issue with the rear brake! About the bike not going beyond 100, have you tried shifting to 5th?

Attack the probiking guys. Get hold of the manager. Talk to him, or to his senior. You will find someone accountable.

i was experiencing the same problem in my pulsar 220 dtsi and this problem is persisting from the earliest pulsar 220 till date but when i asked the probiking people to clean the calipers with pressure air nozzle the noice was gone and regarding pickup i have bad dreams about poor pick up but not really just in dreams

This might help with the screeching problem, assuming of course that it isn't caused by worn out pads.

Take the pads out and smear a little bit of cooper grease on their back. Make sure you DON'T smear or soil the brake pad lining material with copper grease, just smear a tiny amount of it on the backing plate.
Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make all of them yourself.

The rear disc has always been a problem on the 220 when it comes to performance..

            simple suggestions for u.

1)ensure that ur clutch plates are fine.
            2) get ur co% checked. including the air fuel ratio. i think ur bike is running extremely lean at high speeds or extremely rich(remember the air fuel ratio has to be almost exact to give out the expected performance).
hence unable to go beyond 100 or 110 . .
            co% should be 2.3% to 2.5 %
            3) try shifting gears at 8thousand rpm on an empty stretch of road. yes gear1 to gear5.

            wear a helmet. be geared.

            RIDe safe!!

dust might have crept in between the pads and the disc so the screeching sound..put your bike on main stand and check if the tyre revolves freely..if it doesn't, you need to pull out the pads and get them installed again properly
