tyres don't skid that easily if you maintain the company specified tyre pressure..if you overinflate they will skid..anyways if you do want to change, IRC tyres are easy to find and are medium compound tyres so you will get better grip. you can go for a 110 section irc..but it would slightly shorten the gear ratios because of its low profile but the change would not be drastic

CBZ X comes with a 100/90 tire,

This is not true,tire tire tend to skit due to its tread lesser the tread more it will skit,good amount of tread it will not skit.

So if I have to change the tyre which tyre and which size i can go for?

If your bike is new its no need to change the tire,If you have to change tire or if you live in rainy area,then go for dual purpose tire also known as enduro tires,don't go for oversize tire it will decrease your performance.
100/90 is enough...

you can go fot the dunlop geo-cruiser if you want. it provides superb grip even on wet roads and also off road.

Today i saw my friend's pulsar 180. the tyre was preety good. size is 120/80.
Why dont i get a 120/90 tyre for my cbz. how much will it affect my mileage?

^^ it will make you feel like you are riding a horse whose rear legs are taller than the front ones.

The CBZ does not need such a wide tyre. the stock size 100/90

Stick to it. And improve your braking skills. Use front brake more than rear, and use rear to stabilize the bike.

Xtreme's rear brake doesnt respond quickly...So concentrate more on front brakes (normally on all bikes) which makes rear tire skidding less.

If your bike has come with Dunlop Geo-cruisers...They are good for any kind of terrains except corners. If you are still prefer to change the rear tire...I suggest Michelin M45 4.00x18" which is very good tire. You might require to get the brake rod little bent so that tire doesnt rub it.

Michelin M45 is good ,but u lose 2 or 3 km in mileage part ,and its soft compound tyre , so it will wear fast compare to stock tyres,
U can consider CEAT vertigo sports Also,have same size of ur stock tyres,with good grip

Mrf's also provide adequate grip and stability......zapper Q is a better option for xtreme.....looks great .........it comes in 110/80 17" size....no need to alter.......

Great Thank you for your suggestion.But currently i am having problem with my engine and its smoothness so ,waiting to solve that issue and then change the tyre.Once done will be back with the comments.

i dont think that 120/80 will suit. but 110 will suit instead of 120. today i went to MRF tyre shop, the said that installed a 110 size tyre on a hunk with out any problem.

I own a 2007 cbz extreme and recently changed the tyres.

Front - Michelin M45 2.75*18
Rear - Michelin Sirac Street 100/90*18
Tubes - MRF

Just get these if you can. These are stock sizes. Far better than the stock tyres.
