  • My bike has become a "jerky" affair!

    Fellas,

Greetings to all of you out there.
I have a problem in my bike, It's always "jerky".
Even after a minute long idling (with choke), when I start riding, it jerks like hell.
This happens for a kilo meter at least.
Then it improves, but throughout I get mild jerks.
To explain "mild jerks" more clearly, whenever I am cruising at a constant speed, I experience little jerks.
If I give even a slightest of twist to my wrist, I get a jerk.
This happens while accelerating & decelerating as well.
    SVC guys are hopeless.
Can you people suggest me something or a good mechanic atleast?
Is it ok to take a zma which is just 1800 KM old (2nd service done) on a 1100 KM long (in a day or two) journey?

Some of my observations on my new bike.
    * Engine is heating a lot (Probably because it's new)
    * Engine is rough (they say it will smoothen over time)
    * From 1st to 2nd gear shift sometimes gets jammed & is mostly difficult.
    * Coming to neutral from first gear is difficult as well
Are these common problems faced when bike is new.

During my second service, SVC guys put HH oil only.
Should I have tried synthetic oil then?
If yes, which one is better, any idea?

Get the carb. setting done. As the bike is new I can only imagine that problem for the cause of jerking.

Your bike is not getting proper electrical supply which its making, there is a fuse near the carb which also connect RPM meter get it check, its not related to carb its related to electrical supply.Current stop flowing to spark and there is a cut off you feel jerk when you push the throttle

My P180UG3 too became jerky in its 5th month. It started with mild jerks which only the rider could feel but later the jerks became so harsh that people could see the bike jerking around The issue was spark plugs. Thy were damaged. When I got them replaced everything became great.Try doing that. Spark plugs cost just 60 to 80 bucks

I would take a CT-100 on 2000kms tour if I get time,no issues to take on a 1100km ride you will ride her someday or another so why not take your bike on a ride enjoy....
synthetic oil not now...you may go for Semi synthetic oil if you get it 10w30 I think is the grade...

^^^ Most of the problems that you have enlisted goes away with time. A new engine feels a little harsh, heats up more and gears are notchy. These all problems must go away as your engine clocks some 3-4K kms.

These are due to the rings; take them for a long ride, no issues, but be, very very gentle to your motorcycle & treat it like a new lover not even like a new wife.

                    Well guys,
Thanks a lot for your assuring comments.

I always ride my my bike close to 60 KmpH.
At times when my adrenaline rush wins over my sane mind, needle zooms close to 100 KmpH.
Thank god that, that rush lasts for some seconds, just like NoS.

I will take utmost care of her now on.

                    One more doubt ..
Does anybody know from whom can I get xBhp Tee in Bangalore?

                        Guys,

Bike still has some jerks, but it is lot better than what it was previously.
At just 5 months of age, is it advisable to install NGK iridium spark plug and changing to high performance ignition cable? (From warranty perspective)

From NGK part finder web site, I found out "DPR8EIX" is the make for Karizma (NGK Iridium).

What would be the estimated cost involved in these mods.
Also, who is the tried, tested & trusted vendor in Bengaluru to procure it?
Any mod in ignition coils suggested/recommended?
