yes..i know one person in our apartment who got a 10yr old RE and within a week he had to throw away his jeans due to oil spill issue..the guy now has 3 second sale bullets...i feel sorry for the guy but thats hw it is for RE
even my bro's 1.5yr bike has started spilling oil when the engine heats up but not to a the proportion to damage the trousers...

and pls do fit in the rear mudguard bcoz RE does not care abt other bikes on watery surface

Thats terrible! I hope that whenever I have a spill its limited to the good old finding few drops on the surface you parked your bike!

This brings up another question to my mind, what would be the best engine oil to use for Bullets? Do synthetic oils make a difference? Can anyone recommend a good brand? Or will any 20-50 oil do?

I 'm sure the thump of your bike will be great these stupid UCE models made nowadays will be of nowhere near to yours hey friend didnt you see the old bullet ad if not search on you tube the tagline was EVERYBODY GIVES WAY FOR A BULLET so in traffic the thumping sound of your bull will help you navigate easily not worry sit back look at those puny rides (other bikes on road) feel like you are the king of the road as how bullets were called once RAJA GAADI .Happy thumping

I remember this punchline, it made the first impression of Bullet in my childhood! I agree with what you say, thats why I decided to go for an old model rather than the current new ones..., I am glad that I made the right decision!
