  • Remove marks

hey guys i have a few marks on my bike as a result of rains, accident, sun etc..... want to know how to remove those marks??

    1. hard water marks (the black spots which are usually found in places near tyres)
    2. hairline scratches as a result of keeping a carton box once on the tank.
    3. some other deep scratches from where the paint has been chipped off and i can see the grey body inside it....
    4. rust marks

(Assuming none of this can be washed off) I had spoken to Yam guys, they said max you can do is replace the damaged part or try putting a fresh coat of teflon.

best option is to replace, the panels for the FZ are not that expensive to spend 200-300 bucks on scratch out and other treatment compounds.

              1. Hard water marks (the black spots which are usually found in places near tyres)
Can be removed with proper washing.

              2. Hairline scratches as a result of keeping a carton box once on the tank.
Can be removed with a good polishing&buffing treatment like Autoglym etc.

              3. Some other deep scratches from where the paint has been chipped off and I can see the grey body inside it....
              Needs to be touched up/repainted.

              4. rust marks
Minor rust marks can be removed by Easy Off Bang or some other solution, for stronger ones try WD40. Painting/touchup is the best solution for frame rust marks.

The best way to remove with Waxpole Liquied Polish, its easily remove any spots.
                2. Hairline scratches as a result of keeping a carton box once on the tank.
As Sarvajit said, it can be remove/mute with good polish/buffing. Buffingwould be expensive. Better to get any cream polish, Motomax cream polish works nice, and apply it on the effected area and rub it with a soft cloath in circle motion, let it dry and remove it with another soft cloth. Repeat this process until the scratch goes away. After the scratches remove you can polish the full part.
                3. Some other deep scratches from where the paint has been chipped off and i can see the grey body inside it....
                As Sarvajit said
                4. Rust marks
Mainly the iron areas are affected due to rust and all these iron parts are painted normal black paint mostly, in all bike. So best thing is get a smooth grade sandpaper and normal black paint from any hardware store. Then slowly sand those rusted areas, remove all the yellow rusts, once the shiny metal appear then apply the paint over it with a smooth paint brush, apply 2-3 quotes. This way the rust won’t appear again.

Use WD40 or Zorrik88 to remove the rust & water marks
You need to use 3M compound for the hairline scratches; nothing can be done with deep scratches unless you may want to consider changing the panels.
