i was just surfing through net and found out that filling nitrogen in tyres and replacing with some superrior quality spark plug increases FE
    is it true???

A simple and effective way to increase FE is to control the tendency to twist the wrist. dont accelerate or decelarate in a sudden manner drive at about 4k rpm . dont cross 60 . dont over-rev ur engine..dont put unnecessary strain on ur engine. use clutch properly ,it also enhances life of the clutch. keep tyre pressure at optimum level. and MOST important. MAINTAIN ur bike properly by getting services done on time and issues resolved quickly. dont ignore small issues, they may become big issues later. reduce extra weight eg:- throw away the pillion rider . FE depends on the riding style, so take gud care of ur bike and she will take gud care of u

Friend you have not mentioned which bike you own.

Some bikes now a days are made for performance and will give very less mileage.

Normally the mileage will not be the one told by the manufacturer, as they test it in a plain road without even a single break.

Filling Nitrogen will not make any difference in mileage, it only helps reduce heat in tyre.

Fuel Efficiency is always based on the how the bike is maintained and the way you ride it.

        Some tips:

        Check Tyre pressure frequently.

In signals if waiting for more than 2 mins. then put your bike OFF.

Check (and replace if needed) Spark Plugs frequently.

        Clean Airfilter regularly.

        Check engine tuning regularly.

Maintain a optimum speed and avoid unnecessary breaking.

Leave early from home, push the bike all the way to your workplace and see amazing mileage figure.

Does the cost of changing the spark plugs regularly is off set by the gain in mileage. Replace spark plugs aftrabout 15K kms and if you see wear in the electrode.

I disagree with last statement. Brake when necessary. However avoid red light GP's and hard acceleration. Usually if you tune the carb for very high fuel efficiency, you will have starting trouble. There will be a loss in mid range and top end performance as well. To each on his own but I think that mixture should not be too lean. It can damage the engine in the long run.

Thank you Dhairya for your suggestion,

What I was supposed to inform was

Spark plug has to be checked regularly.Change Spark plug if needed,

I never keep any interval for changing my Spark Plug, when ever I remove it for cleaning and found electrode comes to its end then i used to change it.

And the Breaking in the sense, just race to say 60 and simply apply break within heavy Traffic. This kind of riding will drink off fuel.

Just maintain speed (30-40 km, depending on the traffic on the road) and control the bike with Acceleration will make a good difference.
