  • Could the Seat be the problem with balance?

So I have a pulsar 180 ug3 and for a verrrrry long time I have been having balance issues where I feel that the bike doesn't ride smooth and it veers to the left a lot and it takes a lot of effort to correct it to go right.... and I have to go very slow (<45) to avoid feeling like I'm gonna lose control of the bike due to the sudden shifts in direction.... this started back from an accident on a slippery road during the last monsoon... Now since then I have visited countless bajaj service centers, and other mechanics... they have checked everything and continue to say there is no problem.... Last time I went the bajaj service guy even took me as a pillion and drove the bike and showed me that there was no wobbling ( drove the bike in a straight line and left the handles and it kept going straight...) so I'm totally frustrated... I have to slow to like 20 to make simple turns or changes in direction...

Now my last idea... and pretty much the only thing that I can think of to check is... the seat... last time i checked with the bajaj service place... they showed me under the seat that the plastic part of the body of the pulsar had broken... and I asked them why since I had not had an accident... They said that the rubber under the seat on which the seat sits is not enough or something and thats why the seat was hitting the body and damaging it... and I had to go to a seat repair guy and put more rubber there... ( I'm a heavy guy... 89 kilos ) so Im asking is it possible to have these problems if the seat is not sitting properly... i mean its not loose or anything... but just from what that service guy said is it at all possible that the seat could be the issue?

    Query approved.

Seat cannot be an issue in balancing, at least not to the extent that you are telling. A disfigured seat might result in improper sitting position of the rider that may have some impact on the overall handling, but that should be negligible.

No seriously seat is not problem for your bike balancing... just check your Fork assembly are front wheel alignment.. i hope this will solve your problem

Set your rear suspension to the next harder setting, that should solve your problem. My friend's P180 UG3 had a similar problem last year but there were no falls involved. I guess your rear nitrox suspension lost some of its gas (if such a thing can happen.. i guess)
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

The seat cowl breaks even if one of the seat rubbers is missing. This happened with me. but the seat rests on the chassis rods and not this cowl.so even f you remove this cowl the seat will still fit perfectly and the bike will run as if nothing is different. you need to go to someplace other than a bajaj service station. Get the steering cone set checked, the wheel bearings checked, and check if the fork is bent anywhere.

            1. Check your swing-arm bushes.

            2. Wheels for any crack/bend.
