Noise from tank
recently i got my clutch plates and timing chain changed, for which the mech had to remove the tank and put it back everyhting was fine then, but the next day when i poped a small wheelie a clunking sound came from the tank.on futher inspection figured out this sound comes whenever i am in a lower gear and blip the throttle causing sudden accleration and then retardsion or when i hit a bump..its like something is scraping..i removed the tank myself and put it back everything seems to be firm but the sound hasent gone yetTags: None

First of all let us know which bike you have

On the P150 u will have 2 rubber caps each side mounted on the main chasis. If these are worn out or fallen off while fixing the tank u will get the sound. There is nothing else that will cause such a problem.Originally posted by Richard View Postoh sorry forgot about it..

@edferns - those rubber caps are there n not worn out yet
@naptrap - yes the tank does shake a bit. but it shakes similarly in a friends bike too...
the sound mostly comes when the shocks rebound
the sound seems to comming from inside the tank

Hey can you remove the tank of the bike. Drain it and then shake it to see if the sound still comes. If so then remove the Pertol Tap and check if the filter which sits insde the tank has fallen of. Also check for the feul gauge sensor which also sits within the tank. This should solve the problem.
