  • [Help]: Suzuki Samurai Starting Problem

I use Suzuki Samurai 1996, I travel for 30 km daily. Three months ago I faced starting problem. It need 25 - 30 kicks applied with choke to start, normally it used to start in 3 kicks (even in cold season mornings). After kicking it some time it need to move for 10-15 meters with choke applied, then after kicking it 10-15 more times it responds and need to accelerator frequencies continuously for one minute. Then as suggested by a mechanic I replaced starting coil (original TVS) for Rs. 250. It worked for me for one month but very fine, but unfortunately from last 7-8 days the problem persisted again. I am ready to replace the starting coil once more but I want permanent solution for this. Is starting coil fails in rainy seasons. My bike never suffered starting trouble ever before and the coil I changed was the original factory fitted. Is there any issue with the fuel supply? If yes, then why it did not troubled for one month after replacing starting coil? Please help me to sort out the problem. Please don't suggest to purchase a new bike, I believe in old machines more than the latest fiber worked bikes.

The 'NO Problem' bike is giving problems, eh?

Maybe the battery is worn out and needs replacement, thereby leading the choke to not work.

Many of us forget about the Air filter on our Bikes.

Have you checked Air filter?, the Valve from carburetor to engine? your Spark Plugs

Because in two strokes we never get any complicated issues, only some basic once, Please Check and update.
