  • HELP: 180 UG3 Engine problem

    hi all...i have a Pulsar 180 the ug-3 model which is 2 years old and off late i am experiencing a strange problem the engine goes off after a few kms of riding say at a speed of 60kmph...and i have to wait for a few mins before i can start it again...why's this happening?

      i'm not an expert but... make sure that all the fuel pipes are flowing ok. have the carburettor checked and cleaned.

      check the plugs. check the spark.

      check the airfilter.

      can't think of anything else now... maybe someone will chip in.

        It Could be of Fuel Blog

        Check this

        Plan for a 20KM no-stop ride

        Before the ride starts- Open your Feul tank lid for some seconds - shake your bike by sitting (make sure no fuel comes our of the lid)

        close the lid and drive it continuously

        If it rides non-stop ---- then its a Fuel Blog problem
        GO to a Mec who can service the Fuel Tap and some Air logging parts

            tried what u said...rode the bike for more than twenty minutes non stop and the engine didn't go off or anything...now i need to fid a good mech

              just got a k&N on my bike, am just not able to go above 119!!!!! earlier i easily did a 125 in a straight line....

                K&N is for some Initial Torque and some Mid-range Power - thats it ------- It will not give you an increase in your maximum Speed

                My option will be staying with the Stock Air Filter ---- rather than K&N
