Normally, the RPM can be set from 1200 to 1500. But there is no any specific number of turns for any vehicle. It varies from vehicle to vehicle. Be very careful as you may spoil your bike if tuned lean and you may not get a proper mileage if tuned rich....

Thanks msatheesh, actualy i noticed my engine overheating and i was getting mileage 58kmpl in city.thats why i m worried if the mixture is too lean. Bike manufacturers seem to tune their bikes lean to pass the emission norms.

I hope you find the setting but if you don't, do this.
              1) Warm the engine, do this preferably after a long ride. It's better if the tank's full while doing this.
              2) Close the fuel screw completely.
              3) Open the screw half a turn and start the bike.
              4) Slowly open the screw until the rpm ceases increasing.
this point is the perfect mixture.
              5) But don't leave here, open the screw another 1/8th of a turn.
Voila, you have the correct setting.
It's better to have a slightly(but not very) richer mixture for optimum performance. It's better if you monitor the rpms with a hand held tachometer. If you can't do this yourself, take the bike to a svc.

Hey shubhanker, i have a litle confusion with ur 4 th point. U said slowly open the screw until rpm ceases increasing. Do u mean the point at which rpm starts increasing? Or the point at which rpm increases no more ? Please explain in litle detail.
