  • From ZMA/ZMA-R to ZMR without FI/digi-meter

    Hi all,

First , Has anyone done or tried his / her luck on fixing the zmr fairing on the zma?? What do you think might be the problems in this swap?

    Second , zma / zma-r LED tail lights ...

Waiting for some awesome posts if some1 has succeeded in doing so.

I haven't tried it for the front because I find the ZMR's front to be very ugly and bulky. but the rear is very easy. The catch is that you'll have to change the whole mudguard for this mod job. After this change, get the ZMR's rear(3 parts) and the taillight along with the clamp.
What do I intend to do? Stuff ZMR drivetrain into an Ambition chassis and watch others run scared!

As far as fairing is concern. Looks are subjective. However such a swap is not sound technically as they will limit air flow to engine. This is why ZMR comes with oil cooling, hence not recommended. Can it be done? Of couse, if people can fit a r15 fairing on a pulsar. A ZMR fairing on a ZMA should be easier.

As for tail lights. If you mean ZMR tail lights on ZMA. You will have to change the rear panels (both sides of course ). fix a couple of braces. One mechanic at service center said he could do it for me if I'm interested. Not me. I happen to like Zma tail lights. they are so very Zma
