  • My Pulsar 150 UG 4.5 Stops on Shifting to Lower Gear after few min of Ride

    Hi All,
I have purchased new vehicle Pulsar 150 UG 4.5 from Sri Siddhi Vinayak Mobikes Kachiguda Hyderabad on Sep 10th 2010.
Its been just a week and my bike started giving problems.I am totally frustrated on this regards considering the thing that its been just 10 days after purchase.

My Bike stops frequently on shifting to lower gears and once again when I am starting it doesn't even start even tough it has more than enough petrol in ON Position. Here it doesn't even pick up

When I change the fuel position to Reserve it does start up and doesn't give any stopping problems when shifting to lower gears.

I don't understand this situation at all and very much frustrated with this thing happening in the very 1st 10 days of bike ride.

Bike Guru's please tell me what exactly is the problem so that I can have a strong word with dealer when I go to him for repairs.
    + Adding some More clarification

I had filled around 4 litres of fuel in the tank and Just today checked in website that 3.2 litres is reserve (2 usable).I am guessing this may be the situation for the problem. I will try to add more fuel and check whether the problem is persisting .
    Thanks
    Rahul

Your bike's fuel-cock seems to be faulty. Get it replaced under warranty. A question: Does the bike still switches off when there is some 6-7 ltrs of fuel. If so then it's definitely fuel-cock gone bad.
