  • Need advice before modding my FAZER 150

    Hey guys,
I want to modd my bike, it's a FAZER 150.
First thing that i would like like to change are the head lights.

I was thinking to get projectors but the thing that I am concerned about is that their might be heavy load on the battery. So then do i need to replace the circuit as well ??

Next on my list are the rear mud gaurds, I want to get a real racing one like ones in FAZER 1000cc, is it possible ?

other than that I would like to stick some Tank pads, which might look cool, can you suggest a few ?

I hope u guys can help me on these .

      Dude,
I feel you should get the rear mudguard work done as priority.

And next is a fancy crush guard.
We wouldn't need a forum if we all had same opinions, same thoughts, and same bikes..... Enjoy the difference.

You can consider changing the rear mud flap as is earlier suggested if mud/water is splashed easily onto the pillion as it can be a real put off.
If you put lights that eat up more battery power than the battery can produce or the recharging rate of the battery, you'll have to probably fit a relay or something (the gurus can help you better). I'd suggest try the Osram Nightbreaker as it MIGHT fit directly onto current set up without changes reqd.
As far as the tank pads are concerned, you can look at the ProGrip tank protectors that are available in the market. Cost around 400-500 for originals & 100-150 for duplicates.

          Thanks for your suggestions guys

          @Manas,
A query, are OSRAM nightbreaker lights has the same wattage as the stock lights? How are they ?
I have seen threads of people using HID projectors in stock pulsars and FZs, will they not suit my bike's stock battery?
According to u which one is better NIGHT BREAKER lights or the HIDs.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your advice .

OSRAM NightBreakers are just Halogen bulbs with a slightly higher wattage(55/60W)rating than your stock ones, however believe me I have been using them(ONBs) and they provide enough light without the need of altering your bike's electricals. However, if you feel like going for HIDs, which are no doubt better(but costlier & might void your warranty), then a good HID setup might cost you anywhere around 5000 -7000.

HID's will definitely void warranty as they will require the wiring to be changed.
Osram Nightbreaker is the best option apart from HID's. They are of the same wattage as that of the Pulsar 220F powerful headlights. They work the best with a DC connection. Don't know about AC. My Pulsar lights are just plain & simply amazing.

HIDs are plug and play and the local Yamaha Service centre in my city said that HIDs are okay as they are the same wattage.. You can use them...and take them off if you have to claim warranty. Osram Nightbreaker can run easily on the fazer.. However both at a time will seriously drain your battery fast. One at a time will work fine though.
