    Hi

Can anyone shed light on how long does it take for your registration certificate to be issued (in Delhi). The dealer said that it would take anywhere between 60-90 days

It's been more than one month since the application and currently all I have for RC is the cash receipt which expired some 20 days back (the cash receipt is valid for only 15 days)

    Thanks

First of all ... congratulations for getting the menace.
and you just need to carry the temporary RC slip with you .. when you are riding. Just keep checking whether the original RC has come to the showroom or not by contacting the showroom people.
Its not your fault ... so cops wont do anything while checking. Although you should get the original RC withing 45days from the purchase but it takes more time than that.

            RC

Dude the reason it takes more than 45 days for the RC to be ready is cos unlike the earlier paper printed RC's & TC's, now smart cards are issued (similar to the smart card DL's) which have a chip with all the info embedded in them. That takes time. I'd suggest you start pestering the showroom guys for the card & bugging them to hurry the process up.
Usually what these showrooms do is that they send applications for the smart cards on a fortnightly or monthly basis, hence the delay.
PS: Even I bought a Pulsar 220F DTSi on 11th September 2010 & awaiting the smart card.
And dont worry about the traffic cops, they know the "efficiency" of the RTO the best.

              ^^ Thanks guys!

Checked with the showroom people and they just pleaded helplessness
Guess can do nothing about it.
