  • Headlight of P200

    Hello guys,

I own a P200 (Red). I am about touch the milestone of 50k. Can anyone let me know what are the things i need to check/repair/replace while doing the servicing at 50K Km.

The most imp thing is headlight of the bike...it's performance is very bad. Its like having a torch with me while driving. Can you please advice me which light should i go for?

I have came across with some options like
    1. Projector Lamp
    fcunit.com - projector lamps - Projector lamps For bikes/Scooters
    2. HID lights
    3. OSRAM nightbreaker

Please let me know which one will be best fit, the cost and from where can i get. My battery specification is Amaron - 12 amp, 9 Ah.

OSRAM nightbreaker is the best option to go for without any mods needed to the electricals.

        Apart from regular oil change,

        I suggest :

        Change air filter
        Decarbon engine
check disc pads, rear drum. if needed replace.
        Clean chain
        get a more powerful bulb
        check rear and front shocks.

i guess you will have to change rear shocks . change oil for the front fork.

Thank you very much everyone for valuable informations. One more suggestion...Pulsar 200 rear tyre specification is 120/80-17. i have come across Michelin SIRAC model. But the specification available is

          1. 120/80-18
          2. 120/90-17

Which one will fit in my Rear RIM? Or both are not advisable to put in my RIM?

Please let me know your thoughts.

For putting in a 55W bulb, check this thread:

As for the tyre, you can put in the 120/90-17 Sirac but it is noticeably taller than the stock tyre. Also it is a tube type but people are running it as tubeless without problems.

              Hi Tanay,

Thank you for your suggestion. SIRAC does not have any tyre models for front. Can you please guide me for front tyre. i came across IRC tyres but the specifications are as follows.
              1. 100/90 - 18
              2. 90/90 - 18
Pulsar's specification is 90/90-17. Can you let me know if anyone of this 2 will be ok. Else i will go for MRF zapper (easily available) !!!

Fitting a tube type tyre as tubeless is not recommended for any brand of tyre. Your life is at stake. Fit it as tube type if you want. It is the best dual purpose tyre in the market right now.

Both IRC's you have posted are for 18 inch wheels (the 18 in 100/90-18 ) represents the rim size. So you need a 17' tyre, there are some IRC's in this size, otherwise the Zapper is always there.

You'll get 17 inch IRC's relatively easily now as the Pulsars come with OEM IRC's now along with MRF's. I have a 2 month old Pulsar 220F DTSi which came with 90/90x17 & 120/80x17 stock IRC's. They are soft compound so give great grip in all conditions except wet. I'm myself looking to change my tyres to Michelin's or Pirelli's. Have put it off for now as Michelin Siracs don't come tubeless.

try fixing a round head light that of the classic pulsar a bit change in looks too and may be good light with an osram nightbreaker

You plan to install the R15 fairing and the twin bulb headlight?

                              If so, visit this thread:

and post your queries there, lots of experts to help.

If you are planning on installing HID's then you will have to convert to full DC. But even if you put two halogens, I highly doubt that the stock stator/wiring will be able to support both together. But it should support one 35W bulb at a time.
