  • My Pulsar 150dtsi problems

    Dear xperts.

I have Pulsar 150dtsi(2008 model), it has got a strange problem described below.
Once I mark the fuel lever to 'Reserve' and drove 3.5 km and again filled with 1ltr, after driving just 4-5 km it again came to 'Reserve' I observed this problem more times.

Note: when i drive in fuel level 'On" it works fine and giving enough mileage, the problem comes when i drive in 'Reserve' and again comes to 'On'.

Please suggest anyone what to check out here.

    Thanks,
    Vijayji

Check the reserve compartment inside the tank for any specific damage/problems.

Also check the fuel stop cock.

Dude I don't think there is any separate reserve compartment in the fuel tank!!!

next time fill 2lts and then carry out the above procedure. observe if the same problem exists........sometimes when the bike is stopped, the unused fuel from the carb rolls back to the tank(which is enough for 4 to 5 kms).
maybe the last time you drove the bike, you used up more than 1lt of the reserve tank(unknowingly)......has anybody else used your bike?
if that doen't help, it surely is a problem of the fuel stop cock........
