  • need help regarding engine.......

    Guys,
    I have a pulsar 150 ug3.
I haven't used it for the last 2 years. Now it started to give me problem.
Whenever I ride my bike at 5000 rpm, it starts giving lags, as if the fuel is about to get over, even though I am having sufficient fuel. The bike doesn't give me any problem if I ride it below 4000 rpm and above 5000 rpm. And while riding, if I suddenly increase the throttle, the engine is not able produce power and it sounds as if it about tol turn off. I showed my bike to a mechanic, he is sayin that he needs to check the coils inside my engine. So guys, what should I do???
    Need your suggestions.........
    Thanks in advance.....

      Firstly welcome to xBhp, Rage.
Firstly have you serviced the bike after the 2 years of no use period?
It is very important. The problem you are facing maybe with your carb or air filter. I'm not an expert in these matters but from your description, it seems your bike is not getting its required AFM required.
So a suggestion, give the bike for servicing dude!!!
When you do that tell the mechanic that the bike has been lying idle for 2 years so he'll know what all he needs to clean.

Did you empty the FUEL TANK and THE CARBURETOR before storing the bike for 2 years ? If you didn't...then did you start and run the bike on old Petrol ?...if you did run the vehicle on old petrol then Varnish formation of old DETERIORATED petrol would have formed on the CARB,Valves,Valve guides etc.,..You need to clean up these parts to restore the Vehicle to original condition.
