  • seeking help in solving some ride issues.

hello guys am ram and am new to the site !!!! am about to own a ride and am stuck with some problems i'd love to hear from the experts to solve my problems and buy a good ride i'l let you guys know about my expectations ...
i love a ride with sheer power and looks , price less than a lakh, and an acceptable mileage. i do go nuts with the ride and more city travelling and occasional tours ...
i thought of p220, rtr 180, zmr and r15 !!!! the zmr and r15 r costly rtr is not that sporty in looks i guess and p220 !!! i heard that there are a lotta problems in the machine like chassis, useless mirrors, vibrations and rear disc problems. so , i'd like to get your advice to solve the issue . please do help me and one more thing , is there any speed limit for a new ride ?? like a restricted speed within which a new ride is supposed to be rode till a particular distance count some of my friends who have a new ride do so !! please help me out because am sick of not owning a ride and am desperate to buy one

    thank you.

Most of your questions are subjective & from your post, it appears you're totally confused!!!

Use xBhp.com : What Bike for this selection criteria.

The 3 statements below of yours are subjective, as mileage, looks & speed depends upon each individuals acceptable limits, riding style & comfort.

^^^ there're issues with every motorcycles including Ducati, HD & Honda. So you only buy the one you love & learn how to fix them.

Whoa!!! Is that true??? Can't believe it!!!
Now there're 2 ways by which R15 can become cheaper...
          1. YMIS reduces the price of R15
          2. All the motorcycles in the premium segment are priced above R15 so that R15 becomes the cheapest in the lot.

          Any guess which one?

            Golden Advice, Really liked it.

            @TS
Take a test ride of all the bikes which you have shortlisted. Those are extremely good and capable motorcycles in their own respective ways. So see which one fulfills your priorities better and then make the call.

Unfortunately (or fortunately), the correct answer is no.3:
YMIS started off with 70% localization of the bike (engine, gearbox&chassis were imported from Indonesia). 1st few lots of 2008 were CBUs though.
From 2009 mid, localization increased to about 80%.
From 2010 onwards, the bike is completely produced at Gurgaon.
I expected them to cut the price down to about 97K (current ex-showroom price) OTR, when the P220 was relaunched with carburetted engine for 80K OTR. It didn't happen then, but in the wake of the Honda CBR, I think that will come down further.
              Just wait for some time!
