  • Speedometer error in Pulsar

My friend has a pulsar 180 UG3. I met with him today. he said that there's some problem with his speedometer. He said it shows random speeds. I checked it. It shows normal speed when you start. But when you hit small bums it shoots u to un imaginable speeds like 150kmph when you're hardly doing 30 kms. I thought his speedometer cable is loose or something. but there was no sign of such issue.. His cable was very much intact. What could be the problem...?

seen this issue on a P200 before... was the result of the rider going of a hole in the road at about 90 kmph.

check the sensor... and also the part of the digital console where the speedo cable goes in.

consult a meter repairing shop or a close by pulsar service station the best to point out whats wrong with the meter if its under warranty may be they will do the necessary as a part of customer service repair or replace it.

There is some problem with the cable drive assembly located on the front axle (left side, where the cable ends there is a plastic cap). Have that cleaned and checked.

This happened to me as well. Unbeatable Bajaj quality .

            Hmmm

Hmmm....! Thanks a lot guys..! I think i have to meet up with him tomorrow morning and get it done. He is too angry with the bajaj service guys because they screwed up his indicators once and screwed up with his digital console once. So he is hell bent on not going to bajaj service center. I think my mechanic is good enough. I'll take him to my mechanic and get it checked...!

has to be a faulty sensor. Before doing anything with the meter, check the sensor connection, and otherwise replace sensor cable.
