  • NOC for my loan

Last month paid the final installment for my bike and got the NOC from the loan provider.

Can you please let me know what should be the next steps as I can see the lease to my bike is on the name of my loan provider in the RC.

What process should I follow to get the changes done on my RC and how much would it cost?

Get yourself the following documents ready...

      No Objection Certificate (RTO copy)
Form 35 (check URL - Regional Transport Office Chennai(West), RTO KV Karthalingan, An India's First ISO 9001 - 2000 Certified Transport(Motor Vehicle) Department,Office of the Regional Transport Officer Chennai west, MR.KV Karthalingan RTO West Chennai.)
      RC - Original
Copy of Driving License, Insurance policy & PUC

Total cost might not exceed Rs 500 on a straight forward way. Ensure to submit the NOC before it expires.

I see the following details on the RTO website:

            Nature of Job:
            Termination of hire purchase agreement
            Forms:35 (2 nos.)
            Docs:1Request letter from the financier
            2 Insurance certificate
            3R.C
            4T.C
            Class: All
            Fees in RS: 100

            Don't understand what T.C is.

What's Transfer Certificate? I haven't heard about it other than schools!!!

@RAK - no point discussing all the minutest of the things in the forum, you SHOULD make atleast 3-4 trips to RTO to get things moving unless you're getting it done through driving school.

But since you've got first hand info here, you should be able to get things done without the fear of someone taking you for a ride.

AFAIK, you get the form from the RTO and then you get it stamped/ signed/ filled by the insurer and then you take it back to the RTO to complete the tranfer procedure -- at least that was the procedure in Mumbai around 6 years ago -- correct me if I am wrong guys

(Wonder why the insurer doesn't give a filled in tc in the first place )

                      Very true

As for the Transfer Certificate, when my loan agreement was terminated, I got all the documents from the insurer and went to the RTO to complete the cancellation of the hypothecation and was told to get a TC/ NOC form from the RTO, I forget the number of the form, and get it signed and submit it back to the RTO.

At least that was the procedure here

My insurer has provided me one stamped & signed form other than the NOC. I didn't see it closely....will check it today.

@aargee: I know that from now onwards atleast till I get my new RC I need to run after them. But atleast I wont pay anyone other than the fees.

Whether it may take 2 or 3 trips I will do it myself.
