    2005 Karizma
Today completed exactly 25000kms parked in my garage...yipeeeeee

but the sad thing is lately the engine is giving me some ting ting or kning kning sounds.

It all happens when i go slow on 3rd 4th and 5th gears...i dont think its knocking...coz the knocking was always there when i used to ride uphill roads on 4th or 5th gears

when i showed it to my mechanic, he said it might be the loose valves... the power has dropped massvely...its like riding a dang CT 100...

    no pulling strength

the enigne was once stripped opened for powdercoating...after that maybe the valves or other parts werent tightened properly...or is it because of the engine oil i use...Castrol Power1

I am in a delimma whether to give the bike to my very own street mechanic(whom i have lost faith in) or give to the HH workshop...which i havnt gone after the free service.

the problem started the next day after i gave my bike to a freind to drive a small distance to his uncles house...he has an ambition so no quesiton of riding knowledge ...

what can be wrong with my zma?

Pour in your valuable comments and suggestions.

    Query Approved.

The culprit could also be the timing-chain. Get that checked and replaced if neccessary.

Sad to hear that Katie. My bike too completed 27000 recently. Engine is running very good. No problems at all.

Take your bike to HH service station. They do the best. Sit on their head to correct the things.

To powdercoat the engine, no need to open the valves and others. It is just the assembly they open (in general, but I do not know how your mechanic did). I do not think this is the culprit.

The only option, sit on the heads of the service guys at HH. If there is a serious problem, they will do it and will not disappoint you.

BTW, you have a nice pair of footwear.

I never got any knocking problem in my Karizma. It does well in uphills. I hope you are shifting down to lower gears while doing an uphill. If you do not downshift, you will get the knocking.

the karzma's timing chain costs 1500??

add 500 more and you could buy a brand new cycle with a much thicker chain...or a 2nd hand scooter!!!!

i dont think it could be that much dude...i got my p150's changed for 180 bucks including fitment....and the tappet's can be set easly too...

but the timing chain/tappets unless seriously out of co-ordination will not cause any serious proformance loss......
