  • Clutch release issue in Karizma-R

    Hello all,
I recently got a Karizma-R and am facing an issue with the clutch. I am relatively new to riding a geared bike though I have ridden activa for a while now. In Karizma-R, when we release the clutch, I observed that the rpm meter drops and then raises once the clutch is released after the gear change. Initially it was workingg fine in the morning. But after ridin for about an hour or so, when I took for the econd trip, the rpm was rising when I hold the clutch and even the note of the engine is raisin instead of falling. what could be the problem???/
Also please tell me the ideal way to handle clutch and the gear box...

what is the clutch play in the lever? ( for more info on clutch lever play, read the owners manual that came with the bike ). Make sure that the play is within the specified limits, else you should get the clutch cable adjusted. or you can actually do it yourself, by the tensioners at the end of the lever. If in doubt, take it the SVC station.

4000-4500 rpm for better fuel efficiency , clutch life, linear acceleration
            http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/art-safe...your-bike.html

check if the choke is fully off
make sure throttle (accelerator) is fully closed when you pull the clutch lever.
get your carb tuning checked by a mechanic.

Its a FI model right? Just switch off the ignition, pull out the keys & then start again, you'll be fine; happens in cars occasionally.

                  Handling advice...

Yeah right...Its karizma-R...not the FI model ZMR...
By handling the bike I mean the way the clutch and the gear box needs to be handled for a longer life and a smoother ride...

press the clutch completely while changing gear. the rpm of engine would rise as it gets hotter
