My name is Anand and i'm pretty new around here,Im from chennai Tamil Nadu, i bought the magazine and i was blown away literally, you guys are like the Top Gear of Bikes. Im in quite a fix, thing is im quite passionate about bikes but i don't know a thing about how to maintain one i mean yeah sure there are online sites but indian cruisers are quite different from the original cruisers like Harley's and your heavy duty sports bikes . Ok heres my problem i have a Yamaha Enticer 125cc covered close 28000 kms, considering it isnt much compared to the other vehicles the Xbhpians have covered. It hasnt given me any trouble so far and other than it being only a kick-start vehicle which is quite better than other vehicles in the market as the relying on the button start drains a lot of battery life. The bike is pretty well maintained for 8 years but there are a few hiccups and there and the age is starting to show but its a good bike none the less. My problem is this is there any way to modify the bike which improves the speed of the vehicle and is there any way i can tune the engine. Also my bike is starting to have a very very minor leak towards the edge of the tank,is there a way i can repair this without replacing the tank? what would the modificatons cost? also if i have to flog this bike what bike can i go in for? i was looking at either the r15, (the only other cruiser in the segment) bajaj avenger 220cc, (unless i win a lottery or get an inheritance) kawasaki ninja 250r, is the other cruiser a better bike avenger 220cc ive heard its underpowered and rusts within a month or 2 from buying or what would be the perfect bike to break into after riding a cruiser for 4 years in a row? or should i stick to my current bike? Know any place where i can learn to maintain my bike or any site?

Welcome to xBhp @hellsoul; Pls consider posting about yourself on the "Who Are You" section
Are you planning to do it by yourself or take it to a mechanic? Easiest way is to polish the intakes & exhaust ports so that you can slightly feel an improvement. Remember to get this done through a very experienced mechanic with Enticer or take it to a lathe shop, who has excellent experience in polishing the head. Pls note that, I strongly advice you to stay away from this. Nothing can be hassle free as a stock motorcycle.Originally posted by hellsoul View PostMy problem is this is there any way to modify the bike which improves the speed of the vehicle and is there any way i can tune the engine.
Is the leak of petrol visible or simply getting the smell of petrol evapuration? If its an evapuration, nothing much can be done except the two...Originally posted by hellsoul View PostAlso my bike is starting to have a very very minor leak towards the edge of the tank,is there a way i can repair this without replacing the tank?
1. Find out the leak (assuming it should be rusted inside the tank) & get that part welded. If its somewhere underneath, then the job is little easier, otherwise...
2. Replace a new tank
which you can do it by yourself
Depends on what you intent to do.Originally posted by hellsoul View Postwhat would the modificatons cost?
