  • Fixing up a dented tank: Mumbai

    Hey Brothers,

My Rampiyari recently went through an unfortunate event for being crashed by a friend. And even my pockets took a good hit.The handle bent, forks gone, and my complete front brake assembly went for a toss. Most of it i have taken care of with help of the trusted Reddy (xbhpians in Mumbai definately know about him), but unfortunately my baby tank has got a pretty huge dent on it which i am looking forward to getting fixed. Now asked a couple of guys around and they are charging me around 600 Rs for the dent job along with patch work. Looking to seek help with some recommendations, tried and tested will be all the more good.
    Awaiting all your invaluable comments.
    Thanks in advance.

          Hi Nirvana,
Sorry about the crash. My suggestion- get the whole tank replaced under insurance. it is fully covered in insurance.

If you are from South Mumbai, there are plenty of guys at AC Market and Balaram Street - Grant Road who specialise in fixing dented tanks.

@Omega Man: Thanks mate but i am located in Goregaon, wont mind travelling till there if you think its worth the visit.

Also Guys just planning to give my baby some performance treatment, i feel its due a little too long.
After speaking to my mechanic have so far decided onto Upgrading the card to that of pulsar 200cc.
And installing a k&n filter. Probably might throw in ngk spark plugs too.
Cant decide on the sprocketing part because i myself am not sure if i need more of pick up or a better top end.
Would need more suggestions to work on the bike, anything that comes my way is fine, do have some room for cosmetic mods too.
