    Looking for chain lube for P150 UG3

    hi,

    I am looking for a chain lube for my Bike.
    mine is P150 / UG3/ 2 years / 40K kms old.


    i heard most of the open chain are o-ring type. I am not sure which one is mine. I guess a normal one
    Also i am not sure which grade of chain oil is recommended by bajaj for my bike.

    I am not sure what service center guys use for lubing the chain BUT i don't believe on them.
    so looking for a chain lube, which I can apply after every 500 KMs or so suring long rides and between servicing.

    looking for a VFM product.

      Go for TVS TRU4 chain spray, costs Rs.295/- for 500ml.Very effective!!!

          thanks drifty.. have you seen anyone use that on P150?

          @pavan, I have searched around.. and know about some chain lube avaialble.. I am looking for personal experience of people having covered chain. and VFM of the product. hope that sounds appropriate

            Use SAE 90 gear oil. It should be fine for around 300kms. It would be available in almost all petrol pumps.
            Oversteer is when your ass hits the wall, Understeer is when your face hits the wall!

              tis is the oks chain spray 500 ml 240rs in chennai......available in all pro biking shwroom..............im using tis its gud .......can withstand upto 500km or 2 weeks........

                I meant search this forum. There is a thread which was active until recently. It was about the same.

                  I dont think pulsar 150 UG3 chain is O-RING and more over pulsar 150 has chain cover which prevent frequent spraying of oil.

                  i have pulsar 180 ug4 and has o ring.plus points of o ring is looks(when there is no chain cover) and o rings used there is higher rpms etc etc.
                  but the problem of using o ring in india is accumulation dust,effects due to rains

                  The o ring chain will have go to chain spray every 500 km and it requires cleaning otherwise it will make sounds from chain.

                  I suggest you to stick with original chain and put some oil .If required go for changing the chain,sprocket.

                    No, I am not going to change the chain

                    I go to a mechanic every 1000 Kms and get my chain lubed.. but don't have faith in them to be using good enough chain lube.. so looking for something for long tours.. which i can apply every 1000 kms or so..

                    I was wondering-
                    1. is the best avaialble option for P150 close chain is TVS OR OKS chain spray.
                    2. whats the difference between gear oil and chain spray? OR is it the gear oil only inside the chain spray bottel
