For this you will have to disassemble the lock-set assy. and require a wiring diagram of the bike's wiring harness as well.

From what i understand, you will need to connect it to the acc/ignition wire ( so that the charger works, only when the key is inserted, and turned to acc position ).

Alternately, you can install a switch and a low power fuse ( 1-5A ), and connect the charger directly to the positive of the battery, and ground the black ( negative ), on the chassis of the bike ( this would require you to connect the black wire to a bolt, screw or any other metal part directly in contact with the chassis ).

This will require you to switch the charger on/off manually, but will atleast prevent cutting or modification of the bike's original wiring harness.

i agree with jd666. this is a much simpler solution.
