  • Engine making a strange sound in my P200 adter service

    Hi,

I had my Pulsar 200 bike serviced @ CASTROL BIKE ZONE namely VICTORY AUTO SERVICE 1619A TRICHY ROAD COIMBATORE on 7/12/10. I had opted for a GOLD service, but after i received the bike after service i found out that it had a squeaking noise at the rear brake shoe, below the engine ( Silencer heat protector was loose) and the visor was rattling and the vehicle did not go thru wax polish routine which was supposed to be done for a Gold service as mentioned in THEIR service booklet. I managed stopping the rear brake shoe noise myself and the next day (08/12/10) upon taking the bike with these concerns to the supervisor @ CBZONE they tightened the silencer heat guard and said they'll do a wax polish but to my dismay what they have done is just sprayed my vehicle with diesel and now bike looks dark with dust collecting at all those places where the diesel was sprayed and still there is noise with the visor. Am totally upset now with the service offered so tried contacting CBZone thru Contact Us form in their website which was down permanently and when tried dropping a mail to their Cust care the mail bounced

And now adding to the pain, the bike after running in for say 80kms has started making a strange noise and i can feel there is something wrong inside thru the vibration i get via my foot pegs. But once i cross a speed of 80 kmh it stops.

Guys am new here and i would appreciate if you could help me get rid of that vibration + noise.

@Smart - From what I heard an year+ ago, Castrol Bike Zone is not doing well & to top it all, the one near my home was closed abruptly few months ago.

Anyway, to your issue, its better you take it to B.A.S.S as soon as possible & get things checked over there. No point fighting.

      A little tip...
If you're planning to get it serviced through B.A.S.S regularly from going forward, then, take your P200 this time to a B.A.S.S that is not close to your home, that is, you will not consider getting it serviced each & everytime. Reason being that, for the first time, people do a genuine service & once they're familiar with you, they start doing a shoddy service.

Chain sprocket change advised by b.a.s.s

Upon taking my bike to B.A.S.S i've found the culprit for my engine noise to be O ring Chain. The person who had a ride of my P200 said somewhere down the chain its not turning properly so they'll check it by trying to clean it once and if it doesn't work out am supposed to change the Chain Sprocket set which would cost me around 2k (inc of fitting). My Steed shows just 12k in the ODO.

B.A.S.S say that Rolon sprockets last only for 6000kms and mine is a bonus.

          Any comments on this people?

CASTROL BIKE ZONE - Gd Cust service

Had a complaint filed at CBZone, got a gd response from cust care, took the bike to the same serv center and now voila all problems solved.

Thanx to Mr. Sabarinathan who made sure all my grievances are fulfilled.
