I want to support high wattage bulb of 60/55 watts and I dont prefer HID because it is a nuiscance for oncoming traffic hence I want to go only for 60/55 watts bulb.
I also tried fitting 60/55 watts bulb and at high engine rpm,the bulb shines bright and its beam focus is good but at lower rpms less than 3000,the illumination is very dim and lower than the earlier 35 watts bulb.It is almost like driving in dark on highways and hence unnecessarily,I have to keep engine running at high rpm which is affecting mileage.
I tried to search for people doing coil rewinding jobs in pune but from 6 months,I am not able to find anyone of them in Pune.
Through one mechanic,I tried fitting a bajaj scooter regulator to the headlight wires. The situation has improved a little bit but not satisfactory.Above 3000 rpm, focus is good like cars HL beam but again below 3000 rpm,the headlight beam is like a 35 watts bulb.
I need a help regarding this
TVS Victor GLX has got Magneto of 90 Watts out of which 50 watts are for lighting according to Master Ignition Limited who are the OEM supplier for TVS.
1) In pune, does anybody do the coil rewinding job?if yes,can I know anyone of them and any details about them.Everyone is suggesting to go for new stator coil and TVS dont sell only stator coil. They sell whole magneto assembly for 2200 rupees.I just need some 10 to 15 watts extra since TVS coil has 50 watts for lighting.
2) secondly I have heard that Avenger coil supports 60/55 watts bulb but I dont know whether Avenger stator coil will directly fit in Victor GLX.I am thinking to try this option if no one from pune does coil rewinding job but not sure whether Avy coil will fit in or not.
3) My battery is of 2.5 AH .Can I fit a battery of 4 AH/5 AH because I think that my magneto is of 90 watts hence charging a slight big battery wont be a problem. Some mechanic told me that if I fit a 5 AH battery,my bike's wires and electricals will melt.Is it true?
I am desperately looking for a person doing stator coil rewinding in or around pune.
Thanks in Advance
Pankaj
