  • P220: Noise from the front disc brake

Folks, since last few days I'm hearing a squeaking sound from my front disc brake...though it's a common problem in many bikes, but I just want to know, what causes this noise? Is it, the brake-pad or, the calliper-piston assembly or, something else? And should I do anything for that immediately, like getting the brakes serviced?

See the following suggestion posted here - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/help-me/...ront-disk.html

Though the above bike is for FZ, the principles of disc brakes are all the same. So go through it & post if you've anything more specific.
