  • CDI problem

    guys,

    my pulsar 200cc dts-i having problem these days.
    i have changed two CDI just after 6 months. what may be cause for cdi corruption. what may any thing in my bike that could disturb or distract cdi.
    as i have also changed my HT coil before 8 months.
    .

      Give a brief on the actual problems you were facing, due to which your bike needed CDI replacement. Also, mention the problem you are facing now?

        thanks for approval.
        my bike some times used to lack its speed and produce noise like crackers.
        and some times it also stops.
        my mechanic (from bajaj) just pulled it out and hit it on floor from all of its side (slowly) and plugged again. and its working.
        but after some days again happened then hi said to replace it. as i just replaced it before 6 months and i think its very soon to replace new one.
        so what may causes for cdi corruption. any other cdi that can i buy for that..

        also please tell me these days my bike vibs on even 50kmph speed. specially near foot pad....... its irritating. i went to mech. but he said its vibes of chain so need to replace chain. but i think there is something different.
        please help

          firstly CHANGE YOUR MECHANIC!

          then check all electrical..... if your CDI is blowing then there must me a spike somewhere.

            hey can u tell me meaning of spike somewherer.
            in jodhpur there are only one service center which mechnic i have.

              guys ,
              please this problem (phut-phut crackers like) only in starting few minutes. when engine is warmed up its gone and ma bike smooth going on as well.
              is really cdi problem or any else.
              plzzzzzzz help
              in jodhpur i am help less. any body know mech in jodhpur (raj.) please tell me.

                The same can happen as a reflection of a faulty cam tensioner. Have a look at cam chain and cam shaft as well. Try with some other svc,even if you can't find another one in your area, you may find one in next town, is it? And one small advice, never ever trust a mechanic 100%. Best of luck

                  thanks a lot for suggestion. will check with another svc.

                  now please tell me i have problme wiht my footrest or say like middle-lower part of bike is vibrating little bit more then normal (near speed 45-55). so please tell me what would be cause for that. i think it is because of i jumped from a pit on road very fastly.
                  may be.
                  so masters please guide me.

                      Spike means that your CDI is getting a lot more current than it can handle. check if you have a proper earthing else create one for the CDI.

                        can u please guide me how to create different earth for cdi.
                        or if there are any other customizable cdi available for p200 please suggest me name.

                          Shravan,
                          i think your bike's CDI and its plugs are not insulated properly, may be you should check on it.

                          when ever you wash you bike blow air (compressed) on the CDI to dry it.

                          look for proper insulation

                            hi guys,
                            thanks for advices.....

                            now i have sort out the problem of my CDI.
                            now my bike produce sound like crackers only till near about 10 minutes (if continue to acclarete) then it behaves normal. after running some times and again stoping it for a while like for drinking a tea with frnds and when again i try to start same problem happend. it also till few 10 minutes and then normal. its really weird
                            so now please suggest what may be problem. any one here who can give me his mobile no. so i can really explain that what hell is going with me.
                            is really problem with cdi and its wires or due to cold start or due to wrong adjustments with fuel mixture screw/idle screw.

                            please masters flash light on it and help me..........

                              Since you had already changed 2 CDIs and still facing problem better look elsewhere. What is the Kms run on your bike ?..Do you rip often ?..
                              As suggestions I would request you to check the Valve seating and adjustment,and also check for correct AFR by reading the spark plug.Try changing the spark plug if it is more than 10 K Kms old.
