Pulsar Drain plug washer

    Pulsar Drain plug washer

    Hi Guys,

    I have a Pulsar 180 UG2 and I noticed that the drain plug was leaking oil very very slowly inspite of tightening it fully. So I decided to change the drain plug during my next Oil change and hence bought a new drain plug from the Bajaj service center. But they have also provided my with an aluminium washer along with the drain plug.

    Earlier my bike didnt have that washer. Now I am wondering whether I should use the aluminium washer provided or not.

    Do any of you guys have noticed a washer for the pulsar drain plug?

      There is no harm in using the washer but do not over tight the Drain plug.

        The drain plug washer always made by aluminum so why it seats after the torque. One must always change the washer with a new one at least after every 3-5 oil change ( if the drain plug bolt torque is maintain properly ) to avoid lacking.
        Speed is a joy but roads are not race track. Keep speed in your limit and always Drive safe...

          I'm sure the bike originaly came with a washer (its actually a gasket). It may have been misplaced by some mech who worked on your bike. Without it, there is no surprise that the oil leaks. And tightening without itmay also damage the neck area of the drain hole. I recomend you use it.

                i over tightened the drain plug once. I think it got very much over tightened...there was a 'tak' sound while tightening it. And it leaked oil for long.

                  It is on the left side below your engine. Closely below the gear changing lever.
