  • Karizma handling issue

I had a fall at 10kmph, the rear tyre skidded while off roading after which the handling has changed the bike doesn't corner as well as before. The fall was on the left side and now while riding the bike leans slightly to the right. Also if i leave the handle bar at 30kmph the bike moves towards right side.

The handle was bent so got that changed got the oil seals changed and fork oil refilled. Still the issue is not 100% solved but handling definitely improved. Now whichever mech i take it to tells me that fork is out but i think they just want to make a quick buck. If the forks were bent shouldn't they have damaged the oil seals? But ive ridden more than 2k after the fall and there is no leakage.

Another mech told me that it is chassis bent, i didn't believe him but still gave him my bike because i ran out of options and as i guessed the handling is still the same. Now what else can i try to fix it? One mech tells me there is no problem with the triple tree and another tells me its a bend in the triple tree. What to do?

Also the steering is very light to turn which is good for city riding but for high speeds the hanlde should be firmer, is there a way to tighten it so that it will feel more planted.
I bought the Ninja 250R !!.....And then i woke up :(

bent forks wont necessarily spoil the oil seals ( unless they are bent at exactly where the suspension travel area is ).

Get the front steering stem checked as well.

Straightening out forks is not that expensive 100-200 rs at max, with labour, replacement of fork oil etc total not more than 500-600rs.

        ^^^2nd that.
It could be that you have the fork bent or a play in the forks.Replace the cone set and overhaul the forks.
Get them fixed first from a good mechanic and dont venture into anything with the chassis. This would be more time taking and expensive process.

Karizma Chasis cannot get bent at 10kph speed fall. personal experience i hit a big stone at 100kph, did a superman tingy after the hit and fell back on bike apart from fork, wheel, handle, front disc, and ofcourse fairing (first thing to break in zma when you fall) everything else was fine. repairing handling issues stability issues can be very tricky, tiresome, and time consuming and you will never be completely satisfied. if you can afford replace entire front part at one go.

@jd666 Will get the forks checked and fork oil replaced. Have to find a mech to do the job in front of me otherwise these guys keep the bike for a day and return it without doing anything.
Dont want to unnecessarily spend on cone set and T-stem so will check the forks first.

@kashif.sayed I think u are right that handling wont feel same like before the fall but will try, at least i ll learn about the bike in the process.

Did you check the clutch plates..i mean are they ok..i had the same problem and really brother its hurts when someone drag his karizma in front of u in speed and u cant even catch him bcoz of that prob. So i went to authorize dealer and the supervisor told me that my clutch ( Clutch plates, half clutch, wheel clutch) needs to be replaced and after that clutch work my bike is running smoothly like it use too in early days....

dude does the bike lacks pickup and top speed?..if its so en i believe plates can be the hurdle......normally karizma's carb is gud..never faced a problem in three years.

Buy both cables from HH spares and get it changed from a road side mechanic in front of you, I think one of the cables is broken, this happened on my bike too the accelerator works with one cable but gets hard and the bike doesnt rev as fast as it should, i realized the problem only when i rode a friends bike.
