RE Classic 500 Black Smoke issue

Hi all,

Recently bought myself a Classic 500 from RE. This is my 5th Bullet thus far.

Recently noticed that after the first service the bike is emitting black smoke from the exhaust.
Have read varying explanations in different forms about how the bike is running rich etc. etc.
Also recently the bike is missing a lot of beats especially during cold starts.

Can any of you please help me out?

where are you located?
Whats the condition of the spark plug?
You might need to get the fuel injection system checked at the svc centre for tuning ( air-fuel adjustment )
