  • First bike maintenance

    Hello to all,
I'm from Bangalore, 19 years old and have bought a Honda CB Twister. This is my first bike and i want to know the best way to maintain a new bike, i.e any information pertaining to proper bike care, service, breaking in the engine etc. I am fairly new to biking and would appreciate any help you guys can give..

          Hi,
Congratz. I'm no expert, but the normal precautions are:

          a. No ripping the bike: Dont accelerate rapidly.
          b. Low RPMs: This is really upto you, I kept my bike below 3000 RPM, that might be too low, so stay below 45-50 kmph.
          c. Dont keep lending it to friends: I've seen so many new bikes pushed hard by careless 'friends'.

          Generally, play it safe.
