you cant do custom pain because according to rule you bike must have 70% of that colour which is mension in your rc and regarding windscreen you can have it from police. just try it once if you have luck they might help u in getting that otherwise try bajaj avenger windscreen

Manas, what ever i understood from your previous posts that you want to make your ride ready for touring.
hard touring boxes alled panniers and trust me there are very less good quality products avl in india specially which will work good with indian bikes.still you can try out givi.these are hard cases costs some where around 2k inr.you can look in debs shop in wellington.

for panniers i would suggest go for soft bags either from cramster or getoffyourass .just google them and you will find them,
here is a tank bag of them, can accomodate a full face helmet also, price is 1500 inr

here are few pictures of the saddle obag from cramster they are called colt, you can finfd them in ebay, price 2200inr....

i also use tank bag from cramster and saddle bag and tail bags are custom made...

as for repainting the bike, you are taking a gamble, first you need to ensure the painter is of really good quality and really knows his job, becase the oem paint finish is one to die for, amazing.secondly its a rto hassle if you change your paint from described color of your bluebook.

kicker, why do you need it man?fz is already having tried tested electriclas, just check the battery regularly and your good to go.trust me it will not create prob, still if you want a kicker just go to yamaha ass and shell out about 6k inr and you will get one.

for windscreen try avenger one,no idea with police one,but ,seriously suggest not to fit one as the dynamics will be changed in highspeeds.

            baki tomar icche.
invest in a good hid kit if you are a tourer.

for a good tourer modification i would suggest you the same...

              1. HID (4300K) and/or auxillary lamps (3000K if planning for foggy areas)
              2. carry bags (saddle bags, tank bags(not available for FZ because of the fibre body), (will also help in carrying your tubeless puncture repair kit and a small foot pump).
              3. fazer handle bar for better position.
              4. seat cover wth foam padding.
              5. you can also go for fz-s wind screen as it is enough for speeds upto 80-90kmph.
              6. if you want more performance i would suggest you to contact Joel (xbhp id joel)
              7. a gps ( two options go for a gps loaded mobile phone or a gps itself)
              8. install a 12v charging supply like the ones available in cars and get a travel charger for your phone.
              9. also if riding with pillion install hands free walkie talkies in your helmets.
              Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009
              Optimus: Red Mahindra XUV500 W8 FWD 2013
Atom: Red Tata Nano XTA 2016
              Pumba: Red Harley Street 750

i said tank bags are not available as most of the tank bags use magnet to stick to the tank and magnet is useless in case of fibre body........ saddle ones are available....

i feel in regards to touring, you are concentrating more on the styling part (Cool factor) then the actual thing required in your bike a.k.a FZ: Performance and hard core reliability!!

If you are looking for a bike solely for touring purpose, i would suggest the following:

                    1) HID kit or Osram Night breaker 55-60W light bulb for better visibility at night

                    2) Would definitely recommend you having a word with Joel anna (Race Concepts, [email protected]) for performance mods i.e. 180 cc big bore with race piston , Free Flow Exhaust, 29 mm CV carburetor and other goodies giving your bike an overall boost of 5 bhp minimum (14 bhp of stock bike + 5 bhp = 19 bhp!!) and with volumetric porting a better fuel economy etc. with robust reliability as reported by all other guys who have gone ahead with the mods for their respective bikes.

This upgrade will increase the top end speed and also increase the lower grunt of the bike even more..

                    3) If your budget permits then the Fazer front fairing as it deflects wind better at those high speeds thus, helping the rider avoiding fatigue due to exposure to wind blast.. cost: 6 - 7 k for installation.

                    4) kicker from Yamaha should be around 2- 3k ( Please note that if the bike is 30,000 kms + then Yamaha's 2 yr warranty on the bike is over as mentioned in the service and warranty manual.)

                    5) Since, you are planning to buy a 2nd hand bike then do check if the previous owner has changed the following:

                    a) clutch plates (Average life is between 25-30,000kms): costs around 600 bucks

                    b) brake pads, both front and rear (average life; 8 - 12,000 kms): cost, not sure about it but should be under 5- 600 bucks for both front and rear included, check with your local yamaha svc.

                    c) air filter; needs to be changed every 12,000 kms (stock one supplied by Yamaha): costs around 280 bucks

                    d) SPark Plugs; Needs to be replaced every 12,000 kms(Stock NGK by Yamaha): costs 550 bucks

                    6) For saddle Bags do check out Get Off - Home their saddle bags come equipped with rain cover and is compatible with FZ. Tank bags are not compatible with FZ as they have magnets which get mounted automatically on a metal tank like of a Pulsar. FZ has fibre/plastic shells covering the actual tank hence the tank bag magnets don't have enough magnetic force to mount automatically on top of this shell. (hope that clears your query!!)

                    7) the original tyres on the FZ are truly amazing for good grip and cornering on tarmac. However, they are absolutely useless for Off- Roading and mud splashed roads and will be prone to puncture if you do intend to take your bike to such conditions. Look for a harder compound tyre. SO far the only offroading tyre that i could figure out has been the TVS Pancer (however, not sure about the grip of the tyre under actual road conditions though!!)

                    Hope this helps

                    all the best

                    Cheers
