I have the same problem on my rtr 180 since i picked the bike from the showroom. Also the shifting beetween second and third is always not perfect sometimes the gear does not engage n goes into false neutral sometimes the gear shifts back to second after sometime making the bike jerk and raise the front wheel. The service guys have not fixed the problem even after 3 services, also the engine sometimes suddenly makes a "khat" sound and stalls this happened even at 85kph in 5th gear.Really scary!

Vighnesh thats because you cant ride man! just kidding....

Tighten the clutch cable and check if the problem persists. On my P180 When the clutch cable loosens this problem occurs. False neutrals, hard shifts, etc. But once I tighten the clutch cable the problem vanishes. Once this didn't help and the mechanic adjusted chain tension and the gear shifts were butter smooth!

          well i would say that..
i too had this problem when i bought my bike.. with the stock engine oil .. i dnt know which oil was that.. i rode for around 500 kms with the same oil..!! because of that i used to thought... wheather i should use my foot or hammer.. for shifting..??
but as soon as i changed to motul engine oil..!! well malai
the gear became butter smooth.. till now no problem.. !!
but yes check the chain slackness too.. it should not be tight..!!
