    BTW this is a pic of my bike taken in 2007, 2 years after repainting (Repainting silver colored engine, alloys and forks..Its still like this ( over 5 years old nw) And I used bosny for the job. Its costlier too

    Nippon around 150Rs
    Bosny around 250 -300 (for heat resistant) as of 2007

    good luck
    Seems like you had painted the tyre's sidewall too !!!!

      Thanks for the continuing replies.

      A few more questions.

      11) Is the fuel tank double walled?

      The chrome covering on the silencer is badly damaged.
      12) Is this available separately?

      The silencer hex bolts holding the 3 chrome parts slip when i try to unfasten them. I have seen the bare silencer xionite has. How did you do it? I think the steel in the bolts have softened due to heating and slow cooling. Am thinking of warming the silencer and quenching using cool water to harden the bolts. Good idea? Any suggestions?

      @xionite

      Will this bracket come with the crash guard? Welding on the frame is safe? I dont want to change the physical properties of the frame, ie. hardness and strength. You are sure the new tank is incompatible with the old crashguard? Please don't be annoyed, just making sure. If there is any chance, i dont want to mess with the frame.

      @pavanchirmade

      I believe all canned spray paints need to be sprayed from ~ 1 foot, any closer, the paint will drip, - any further, the paint is wasted in the air.

      @Mecho

      Your paintjob looks good. But you sparayed over the rotor and clutch cover bolts? Did you unmount the engine? Because some of my engine paint is flaking off, i need to do that up too.

      Did you use a primer?

            Sorry for the long delay. I worked on the bike for almost a month, not including the 12 days the ASC morons wasted for me. Long story later, eye candy now. As you will observe, im not very good at Photoshop, and also the photos were taken in a hurry so please forgive the quality.

            I will give the details in a later post.

            (photo first, description under it)

            My workshop setup, and my bike to the left. The 220, brand new, belongs to my friend and fellow member, xBhp.com : The Global Indian Biking Community - View Profile: Roshith Rulzz. It came for a chain clean, lube, squeak reduction, stepholder painitng, minor touch-ups, etc...

            Another look at the workshop before the work begins.

            Disassembled parts in the bedroom for storage.

            Everything was opened and cleaned and lubed as required.

            By ayson at 2011-03-22

            Even the new parts were customised with damping, lubing and postioning to my liking.

            By ayson at 2011-03-22

            Freshly painted muffler and swing arm.

            By ayson at 2011-03-22

            All of my bike except the engine was in my 2nd floor bedroom and bathroom.

            By ayson at 2011-03-22

            Engine precariously suspended from the ceiling for painiting.

            By ayson at 2011-03-22

            Nippon "Muffler Black" over "Anti-Rust Primer".

            By ayson at 2011-03-22

            Stepholders were originaly silver, was changed to matte black at a paintshop about a year back, now gloss.

            Frame had battery acid damage, another ASC blunder. Now repainted.

            By ayson at 2011-03-22

            Things back in place.

            Certain customisations.

            By ayson at 2011-03-22

            Photo taken 3 days and ~50km riding after assembly.

            By ayson at 2011-03-22

            Now all i hope is that the paint lasts.

            Comments, Suggestions, Criticisms welcome.

                @ pushkarb : Thank you.

                Anyway here are some pics taken about two years ago for comparison. Unfortunately i do not have detailed photos.

                Here you can see 1) the non- "maintainence free" battery installed by ASC, and 2) the corrosion caused by the overflow. The over-flow tube was installed by me. Now i have changed to Amaron PBR beta.

                Old silencer and engine paint.
